24 Hours South - The Offa's Dyke ULTRA
The event is a 24 hour endurance challenge along the Offa's Dyke National Trail, starting from Prestatyn in North Wales and proceeding south along the National Trail on 9 and 10 May 2026. Participants may walk, run or combine both approaches; results are determined at the 24 hour mark.
Entries are offered for Solo competitors and Teams of two to four members. Team changeovers can occur at any time and more than one team member may be on the trail concurrently, but every team member must cover some distance. GPS tracking and chip timing are used to monitor progress and to establish finishing positions. Organisers provide six checkpoints with food, drinks and drop bag access; some checkpoints have indoor facilities. All participants need a dedicated support driver and vehicle to collect them at the finish. Support crews may meet participants on route but must not carry items for them while on the trail.
A mandatory kit list is enforced. Required items include a full body waterproof cover, foil blanket or survival bag, at least one litre of water at the start, a fully charged mobile phone, map and compass, whistle, a fully charged head torch, a spare thermal layer, hat and gloves. Participants receive a medal and certificate on completion, and checkpoint provisioning is provided throughout the event.
