24 Hours South - The Offa's Dyke ULTRA

This is a 24 hour timed event on the Offa's Dyke National Trail, taking place on 9th and 10th May 2026 and based at Prestatyn in North Wales. Participants move south along the trail and their position on the route at the end of the 24 hour period determines individual and team results. Participants may walk, run, or combine both.

The event offers solo and team entries. Team entries require a minimum of two and a maximum of four members; changeovers may occur at any time and each team member must cover some distance. All participants must have a support driver and vehicle to meet them on the route and to collect them at the end.

The route begins on the North Wales coast at Prestatyn and proceeds south along the national trail. Organisers provide GPS tracking, chip timing, six checkpoints with food and drink, and drop bag access; some checkpoints include indoor facilities.

Runners must carry mandatory kit including a full body waterproof cover, survival shelter, at least 1.5 litres of water at the start, a charged mobile phone, map and compass, a whistle, a charged head torch, a spare thermal layer, hat and gloves. A medal and certificate are provided to finishers.
