Trail Running calendar near Hessle 2026-2027

The Black Night Scar fell race lights up the South West Pennines on 24 Nov 2026 from Todmorden, a punchy 5.8 km course with 315 m of climb under headtorches. Entries available pre entry or on the day with teams of three welcome.

Tackle the Baslow Bolt, a scenic yet testing 13 km Peak District fell race with 400 m of climb. On 28 Nov 2026 at St Anne's Church, this community fundraiser finishes with cake and refreshments.

Dalby Forest Wild Winter Trail Runs on 29 November 2026 features a Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km through Dalby Forest on the edge of the North York Moors. Chip timing is provided and finishers receive a medal and refreshments.

A short Peak District fell race in Birch Vale on 29 November 2026, covering 8.4 km with 335 m of climb. Entry is on the day with registration at the Sycamore Inn and a 125 runner limit.

A team relay at Lee Mill Quarry in Rossendale where teams of four each run a flagged 10.7 km course. Full kit is mandatory and there is a 120-team limit; entry fee is £28 per team.

Trail races at Carsington Water on 5 December 2026 feature a half marathon and a 10k around the reservoir on marked undulating trails with marshals and an event village.

A lapped running event at Burrs Country Park with a 3.28 mile lap and a seven hour time limit. The first 50 entrants receive a limited edition yellow soft toy and one pound per entry is donated to The Sunnywood Project.

A 20 km fell race on Gisborough Moors in the North York Moors on Sun 6 Dec 2026, with 850 m of climb. Entry is available by pre-entry and on the day; teams are allowed and the race forms part of the North East Fell Running Champs.

This three-hour mountain marathon score event unfolds in the Peak District's Derbyshire Dales. Run solo or with a partner in a timed navigation challenge. A pre-printed map, hot drinks, and post-race flapjack are provided.

Peak Raid Race 4 in Alstonefield is a three hour fell running score event across Peak District hills and dales. Competitors choose their own route, compete solo or in pairs, and must carry FRA mandatory kit.
