Manchester - The Bee's Knees Run

The Bee's Knees Run is a timed, multi-lap event held at Hardy Farm in Chorlton Water Park beside the River Mersey. The course is an out-and-back towpath route of 5.3 km (3.28 miles) per lap. Participants may complete any number of laps up to a 7 hour time limit; the minimum distance is one lap.

Every participant receives a bespoke finisher's medal and a handmade knitted bee created by a Phoenix Running legend. The event donates £2 from every entry to Ray's of Sunshine Children's Charity. A mandatory race brief is issued one week before the event.

Terrain is off-road trail on a riverside towpath with very little elevation change. A well-stocked vegetarian aid station is available throughout the day, offering many vegan options and some gluten-free items; examples include bananas, dates, sweets, crisps, cake, squash, and full sugar cola. Participants with severe, life threatening allergies are advised to bring their own food due to possible cross-contamination.

Race headquarters provide toilets and changing rooms. On-site parking at Hardy Farm is limited to 75 cars on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional parking for up to 100 cars is available across the river at Sale Water Park, about a 15 minute walk, with further public and paid parking around Chorlton Water Park.
