The Mytholmroyd Fell Race is a Pennine fell race organised by Calder Valley Fell Runners. The 2025 event is scheduled for Sunday 7th December 2025 and uses a different venue this year: St Michael's Church Hall, Mytholmroyd, HX7 5DS. The race distance is 6 miles (9.7 km) with approximately 1,640 ft (500 m) of ascent. Entry options include pre-entry (with different fees for FRA members and non-members) and entry on the day up to a race limit of 200. Pre-entry closes on 5th November 2025. Minimum age is 18. A small charge of £1 per car applies for parking at the community centre.

Course and requirements

The course starts on the bridge next to Burnley Road Primary School and includes field climbs to Heights Road and Wicken Hill, open moorland on Midgley Moor, rough tracks and a long descent into the Luddenden Valley before a final climb onto the moor and return along the original ascent route. The race is licensed by the FRA under UKA rules and is a non-GPS navigation race. FRA mandatory minimum kit is required, including waterproof full body cover (waterproof jacket with hood and waterproof trousers with taped seams), hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle and emergency food. GPS devices may be used to record a route but not to aid navigation. Kit checks are carried out before number allocation.
