Regular Irregular - The 21st Regular Irregular (12 December 2026)
The event takes place from Brockholes village hall, Brockholes, Huddersfield (Grid ref: SE 153109). Participants may walk or run one or more of three looped routes through the Holmfirth countryside. Route description, maps and GPX files are available to download.
Entries are advanced-entry only via SI Entries; no paper entries. Entry fees are £12 for LDWA members, £15 for non-members. Children under 16 are free but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. On-the-day entry is £20 cash only. The event is open to LDWA members, non-members and runners and is limited to 150 entrants; a waiting list operates when the limit is reached. U18s must be LDWA members or be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Dogs are allowed when kept on a lead and under constant control.
Entry includes tea and toast at registration, snacks and cold drinks between loops, a meal at the finish, a badge and a certificate. Participants should bring their own mug.
Terrain includes moorland, urban paths and roads and the event occurs in early winter conditions. Required equipment includes waterproofs, spare top, suitable footwear, head or hand torch with spare batteries, first aid kit, compass, whistle, survival bag, route description and map (Explorer 288). Reflective markings and a mobile phone are advised. Refunds are available up to one month before the event minus the SI Entries fee; later refunds are not offered except for cancellation for specific reasons.
