The Great Sprout Scuttle & Pyjama Express 2026

The event takes place on 13th December 2026 at Normanby Hall Country Park & Gardens. It presents a collection of festive running activities with a Christmas theme, charity fundraising and family-focused features.

Curly's Athletes stages off-road trail runs and a family fun run. Distances on offer include:

  • 5k trail run, dog friendly
  • 10k trail run, licensed through the Trail Running Association and run under UK Athletics guidance
  • 3k family fun event called the Pyjama Express

The 5k and 10k are described as trail routes through countryside surroundings with the possibility of muddy sections and wildlife sightings. The Pyjama Express is an untimed 3 km family run held in waves of up to 200 participants; it includes festive fun zones, a land train photo opportunity, a commemorative event medal, a hot chocolate coupon, and small food treats. Children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult and everyone on the course requires an entry ticket.

A separate timed fundraising challenge called Santa's Super Sleigh Team Challenge invites teams to fundraise for Lindsey Lodge Hospice. Entry requires a £50 reserve donation that is passed to the charity, a fundraising target of £300 per team, acceptance of up to twelve teams, and participant minimum age of 16. Lindsey Lodge Hospice is named as the event charity partner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
