Dalby Forest Winter Trail Runs take place on Sunday 29 November 2026 at Adderstone Field in Dalby Forest, Low Dalby, Thornton le Dale, Pickering, North Yorkshire YO18 7LT. The event offers three distances and uses trails within the forest venue.

  • Marathon: 26.2 miles, two laps of the Half Marathon route, cut off time 6 hours
  • Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, single loop on forest trails
  • 10km: 6.2 miles, shorter winter trail option

Routes mainly follow forest fire roads and provide views across the North York Moors. Route maps are available for the 10km and Half Marathon and the Marathon uses two laps of the Half Marathon route.

Dalby Forest is a Forestry England site on the southern slopes of the North York Moors with over 8,500 acres of woodland and a network of trails for running, walking and cycling. The event is canicross friendly with one well controlled dog permitted per runner and dogs required to remain on a lead at all times.

Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North and finish results are recorded electronically. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise and snacks and drinks. Trail runs nearby

Trail marathon, half marathon and 10k held on circular untaped courses from Saltburn Learning Campus on 1 February 2026. Runners must navigate with printed maps, carry mandatory safety kit and meet set time limits.

Take on the Cod Beck Canter on Sun 1 Feb 2026 in the North York Moors: a 16.5 km moorland route with 573 m of climb from Ingleby Cross Village Hall. Entry on the day, minimum age 18, promises tough terrain and great views.

The Run Like a Haggis MapRun Navigation - Guisborough will take place in Guisborough on Saturday 7 February 2026.

Tackle a challenging 10.4 km trail through the North York Moors, starting from St Helens Church in Carlin How with 350 m of climbing and great moorland views. Entry on the day for up to 120 runners makes it a lively local race.
