Stanza Stones Winter Edition

The Stanza Stones Winter Edition is a challenging 24-hour ultra running event covering a 50-mile linear route with over 6,600 feet of ascent. It starts in Marsden, West Yorkshire, and finishes in Ilkley, traversing the scenic South Pennines moorland. Along the way, runners visit six Stanza Stones inscribed with water-themed poems by Simon Armitage.

The course also passes through the historic village of Haworth before climbing Ilkley Moor near the finish. The event features live tracking, indoor checkpoints with refreshments, medical support, and a finishers' meal and memento. Changing rooms are available at the finish, but no showers.
