The Stanza Stones Winter Edition is a linear 50-mile event on 29 November 2025, organised by CraggRunner. The route covers over 6600 ft of ascent and is described as a 24 hour challenge from Marsden, West Yorkshire to Ilkley. The course visits six carved Stanza Stones featuring poems by Simon Armitage; the stones are named Snow, Rain, Mist, Dew, Puddle and Beck. The route crosses moorland of the South Pennines, includes the historical village of Haworth and climbs over Ilkley Moor near the finish.

The minimum age to enter is 20 years. Entries opened 21 April 2025 and close 14 November 2025. At the time of the listing there were 107 participants. Entry fees are shown as UKA member £90.00 and non-member £92.00, with an instalment option (deposit then two payments).

Logistics and included services

Registration can be completed at either end of the route, with designated locations at Ben Rhydding Junior School in Ilkley and Marsden Cricket Club in Marsden. The event provides live tracking supplied by Open Tracking, three indoor checkpoints with food and drink, a professional medical and rescue support team, a finishers meal and a finishers memento. Changing rooms are available at the finish; showers are not provided.
