The Stanza Stones Winter Edition is a linear, timed route held on 29 November 2025. The course covers 50 miles with over 6600 ft of ascent and a 24-hour time allowance. The route starts in Marsden, West Yorkshire, and finishes in Ilkley. Participants follow a line of six Stanza Stones that feature poems by Simon Armitage; the stones are named Snow, Rain, Mist, Dew, Puddle and Beck. The route crosses moorland of the South Pennines and passes the village of Haworth.

Entry and logistics

Entries open 21 April 2025 and close 14 November 2025. The minimum age to enter is 20 years. Entry fees are listed as UKA member £90 and non-member £92, with an instalment option (deposit and two further payments). The event lists 98 participants so far and is organised by CraggRunner.

Included services: live tracking (Open Tracking), three indoor checkpoints with food and drink, professional medical and rescue support, a finishers meal and a finishers memento. The event offers the option to register at either end of the route and provides changing rooms at the finish; showers are not available.
