The Moors the Merrier is a 21-mile circular run or walk on Saturday 13 December 2025, starting and finishing at Hebden Bridge (Mount Skip) Golf Club, Great Mount, Wadsworth, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8PH. The anti-clockwise route crosses Midgley Moor, Wadsworth Moor, Heptonstall Moor and Erringden Moor and finishes with a climb back to the golf club. The course includes about 3,900 ft of ascent. Practical information

Entries are limited to 275. 2025 entry fees are £33 (affiliated) and £35 (non-affiliated). The event is fully supported with well stocked checkpoints, tracking provided by OpenTracking, and live results. Facilities at the golf club include changing rooms with showers and a bar; the event provides refreshments such as tea, coffee and toast at the start and pie and peas plus sweet treats at the finish. Participants must carry mandatory winter kit, including a Santa hat and a present (maximum £5) for the bran tub, waterproofs top and bottom (taped seams, hooded jacket), hat and gloves, map, compass and whistle, survival bag, headtorch, spare long sleeve top, and spare food and drink. Race entry is for those aged 18 or over; under 18s may take part in the walkers/non-competitive class if accompanied by an adult.
