Carsington Water Half Marathon & 10k - 5 December 2026

Carsington Water hosts a half marathon and a 10k on trail paths around the reservoir. The routes follow undulating terrain and run through countryside surrounding the water.

Distances:

Half Marathon: out and back then one full loop of the reservoir
10k: almost one full loop of the reservoir

Each kilometre on the course is marked. The route is waymarked with trail flags and A5 arrows, and marshals are positioned to guide and encourage participants. GPX route files are available for both distances.

Entries include a themed medal, water and post race goodies. An event village offers food and drink options and free partner goodies at the finish. Volunteers support the event by staffing the village and assisting at the finish area.

The organiser provides a team of marshals and course signage to help runners around the route. Sustainability work and event merchandise are noted as part of the event setup, and an event t shirt is offered as an optional purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
