Carsington Water Half Marathon & 10k, 5 December 2026

Carsington Water will host a Half Marathon and a 10k on 5 December 2026. Both races use trail paths around the reservoir and provide views of the surrounding countryside.

  • Half Marathon: out and back then one full loop of the reservoir
  • 10k: almost one full loop of the reservoir

The route is undulating and each kilometre is marked. The course will be indicated with trail flags and A5 arrows, and marshals will be present to guide and encourage runners. Entry includes a themed medal, water and post race goodies. An event village offers food and drink options and free items from partners at the finish.

GPX files are available for both course routes. The organiser invites volunteers to assist with event tasks such as managing stalls and handing out finishers medals. An optional event t shirt is offered at a discounted price through the partner RT Kit. The organiser also highlights ongoing work on event sustainability and runner priorities.
