Punk Panther Christmas Cracker is a trail running event held in Otley, West Yorkshire on 12 December 2026. The event offers three distance options and is limited to a maximum of 100 entrants. Minimum age for entry is 18.

Distances:

  • 12 miles
  • 19 miles
  • 32 miles

Climb for each course is published as 1700, 2200 and 3400 feet respectively. ITRA points and UTMB qualification vary by distance with the three distances carrying ITRA points 0, 1 and 2 and UTMB status Q20K or Q50K for the longer courses.

The route is not taped. Provisional GPX files and a route description are provided before the event and the final version is emailed to competitors. There are three checkpoints; the 32 mile route visits CP1, CP2, CP1 again and CP3, the 19 mile route visits CP1 and CP3, and the 12 mile route visits CP3 only. Checkpoints offer drinks, snacks and vegan and gluten free options. Late arrivals at a closed checkpoint will be retired from the race.

All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker. Trail race runners can hire a tracker for a fee. Trackers show live positions and include an emergency button. A compulsory kit list applies to all distances and random course kit checks will be carried out; failing to carry required kit may lead to disqualification.

Finishers receive a medal and an event T shirt unless they opt out. Dogs are permitted on the course subject to rules but are not allowed at the finish in the church. Support crews must avoid official checkpoints. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
