Peak Raid Race 3 – Alstonefield (16 November 2025)

Peak Raid Race 3 takes place in Alstonefield in the Peak District on 16 November 2025. It is one race in a series of four events, each with a 3-hour time limit. The series venues include Edale, Hayfield, Alstonefield and Eastern Moors and Burbage Valley. Entries for this event opened on 11 February 2025 and close on 13 November 2025. Entries so far: 92. Entry fees vary by booking period, generally ranging from £20 to £25, with a £2 reduction for FRA members.

Format, categories and kit

The event uses a score format with route choice. Competitors receive a waterproof map and a control description with points values. The aim is to collect as many points as possible within 3 hours; points are lost for lateness. The event uses SiTiming. Competitors may enter solo or as pairs. There are 15 categories in total, including ten solo or pairs categories, five mixed pairs categories, and a Parent or Guardian & Under 18 category. Age category is determined by age on 31/12/2025; for pairs the category is based on the older competitor. Required kit follows the FRA minimum: waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag.
