Peak Raid Race 4 Alstonefield South

Peak Raid Race 4 in Alstonefield is part of the Peak Raid 2026 series and takes place on 6 December 2026. The event is a three hour score-format fell race across Peak District hills, moors and dales, with varied terrain from high moorland to limestone dales.

Competitors receive a waterproof map with control descriptions and point values. Within the three hour limit each competitor or pair selects their own route and visits controls to collect points; points are lost for lateness. The event uses SiTiming and the map is provided at the start.

Entrants may compete solo or as a pair. The minimum age is 14. Where one runner is under 18, the other must be a parent or guardian or an accompanying adult over 21. Age category is determined by age on 31/12/2026. There are 15 competition categories including men, women and mixed veteran divisions.

Safety equipment checks are mandatory. Competitors must carry the FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit: waterproof whole body cover with taped seams and attached hood, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. All kit will be checked on the day. Dogs are not allowed due to landowner conditions and safety considerations.

Prizes count toward the series; entrants must complete at least two races to be eligible and the best three results count for the league. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
