Sherwood Pines Festive Trail Runs 2026

The Sherwood Pines Festive Trail Runs take place in Nottinghamshire woodland near Mansfield. The event location at Sherwood Pines encompasses 3,300 acres of forest featuring pine trees and historical associations with Robin Hood. The site is located approximately 20 minutes from the A1 and M1 motorways.

Participants can choose from several distances:

  • 10 km trail run for ages 15 and over.
  • 5 km trail run for ages 11 and over.
  • 1 mile family run for children aged 3 to 14.

The 5 km and 10 km distances are canicross friendly, allowing one well-controlled dog per runner. The family run does not permit dogs. All events are chip-timed, providing instant results for participants.

Finishers of the longer trail runs receive a medal, event merchandise, drinks, and festive refreshments including mince pies and chocolates. Family run finishers receive a medal, a drink, and a selection box. An optional event t-shirt can be purchased during the registration process.
