Sherwood Pines Festive Trail Runs : December 2026

The event takes place at Sherwood Pines, Kings Clipstone, Edwinstowe, Mansfield, NG21 9JL. The venue sits within 3,300 acres of Nottinghamshire woodland, with pine trees and trails, play areas, bike hire and mountain biking routes. The organiser describes the site as a family-friendly environment with Robin Hood history.

Distances and event categories include:

  • Family 1 Mile - children aged 3–14; accompanying adult runs free; not canicross friendly.
  • 5km Trail Run - suitable for ages 11+; canicross friendly.
  • 10km Trail Run - suitable for ages 15+; canicross friendly.

Route maps are provided for each distance. One well controlled dog per runner is allowed in the 5km and 10km events. Live chip-timing is used, provided by Timing Up North, with instant race results.

Finishers of the 5km and 10km receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, mince pies and chocolates, and drinks. Family 1 Mile finishers receive a medal, a drink and a selection box. An exclusive event T-shirt can be added to entries for £12 during registration. Subsidised car parking is available on site and is paid after the event at Forestry England pay machines.
