The Sherwood Pines Festive Trail Runs and Festive Duathlons take place on 14 December 2025 at Sherwood Pines, Kings Clipstone, Edwinstowe, Mansfield, NG21 9JL. The venue is set within 3,300 acres of Nottinghamshire woodland with trails, play areas and mountain biking routes. Live chip timing will be provided by Timing Up North. Registration opens 06/01/2025; registration closes in December 2025 and exact closing dates vary by event. Subsidised car parking is available on site and is paid after the event at Forestry England pay machines.

Distances and race features

  • 1 mile Family Run - open to children aged 3–14; accompanying adult can run for free.
  • 5 km Trail Run - new for 2025; suitable for ages 11+; canicross friendly.
  • 10 km Trail Run - suitable for ages 15+; canicross friendly.
  • Festive Sprint Duathlon - run 5 km, cycle 15 km, run 2.5 km.
  • Festive Standard Duathlon - run 10 km, cycle 30 km, run 5 km.

One well-controlled dog per runner is allowed in the 5 km and 10 km events. The bike course is suitable for any off-road bike. A secure transition area is provided for duathlon competitors; bike numbers and helmets must be visible before entering. Finishers of the 5 km and 10 km receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, mince pies and chocolates, and a drink. Family 1 Mile finishers receive a medal, a drink, and a selection box.
