Sherwood Pines Festive Trail Runs take place on 13 December 2026 at Sherwood Pines, Kings Clipstone, Edwinstowe, Mansfield, NG21 9JL. The event is organised by Wild Deer Events and is held within the Sherwood Pines woodland area, which covers about 3,300 acres and includes activity trails, play areas and mountain biking routes.
Races
- Family 1 Mile : open to children aged 3–14; accompanying adult may run for free
- 5km Trail Run : suitable for ages 11+; canicross friendly
- 10km Trail Run : suitable for ages 15+; canicross friendly
- Festive Sprint and Standard Duathlons also available
One well-controlled dog per runner is allowed in the 5km and 10km events. Route maps are provided for the 10km, 5km and 1 mile courses.
Logistics and facilities
Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers of the 5km and 10km receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, mince pies and chocolates, and drinks. Family 1 Mile finishers receive a medal, a drink and a selection box. An exclusive event T-shirt is available for an additional £12 during registration. Subsidised on-site parking is available and paid after the event at Forestry England pay machines. Entry prices start from £10 up to £22 for standard entries.
