Sherwood Pines Festive Trail Runs - December 2026
The event takes place at Sherwood Pines, Kings Clipstone, Edwinstowe, Mansfield NG21 9JL, located about 20 minutes from the A1 and M1. Sherwood Pines covers 3,300 acres of woodland with activity trails, play areas, bike hire, wild running and mountain biking trails.
Distances and event types:
- Family 1 Mile Run (ages 3–14)
- 5km Trail Run (suitable for ages 11+, canicross friendly)
- 10km Trail Run (suitable for ages 15+, canicross friendly)
- Festive Sprint and Standard Duathlons
One well-controlled dog per runner is allowed in the 5km and 10km events. The Family 1 Mile is not canicross friendly. Accompanying adults may run free with Family 1 Mile entries.
Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North. Finishers of the 5km and 10km receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, mince pies and chocolates, and drinks. Family 1 Mile finishers receive a medal, a drink, and a selection box. An exclusive event T-shirt is available for an additional £12 during registration.
Subsidised car parking is available on site and is paid after the event at Forestry England pay machines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
