Trail races in Whinlatter Forest on 2 May 2027 offering a Half Marathon of 13.1 miles and a 10K of 6.2 miles across firm forest trails with panoramic Lake District views. Canicross friendly with live chip timing and on site parking.

An evening trail event at Gibside National Trust across wooded and garden landscape with 5km and 10km options, live chip timing, Canicross welcome, finishers' medal and onsite parking.

A fully signposted 47-mile / 75 km ultra around Lake Windermere with live GPS tracking, six feed stations and a halfway shoe-bag service. Entry includes a waterproof map, a wooden finisher medal and a finishers meal.

Hardmoors White Horse at Sutton Bank on 9 May 2027 offers three trail distances with published ascent and time limits. Competitors must carry mandatory kit, navigate with supplied maps and GPX files, and use their own cup at checkpoints.

Trail races around Derwent Reservoir offer 5 mile and 10 mile routes around the reservoir. The 10 mile uses closed roads and firm trails while the 5 mile is canicross friendly with one controlled dog per runner.

A roughly 13.2 mile trail around Black Hambleton and Silton Woods near Osmotherley with marked routes, a GPX file provided, one stocked checkpoint and a four hour limit. Entry is limited to fifty and all places are via SiEntries.

A new point to point trail ultra of about 32 miles around East Lancashire that links the four Panopticons art installations by Mid Pennine Arts. The route uses Pennine trails and finishes in the village of Trawden.

A multi-distance trail event at Hulne Park beside Alnwick Castle on 23 May 2027 offering 2K, 5K, 10K and half marathon options with chip timing, finishers' medals and age and team prizes.

A single stage 160 mile trail ultramarathon along the Cleveland Way and Tabular Hills with over 7000 m ascent and a 50 hour limit. Entries are capped at 60, all runners must have motorised support and trackers are included.

An hourly backyard ultra on a mixed surface 4.167 mile loop near Hawksworth, Leeds. Competitors must finish each loop within the hour; the last person to finish a loop alone is crowned champion.

A backyard ultra at Stubbs Fields where runners complete a **4.167 mile** loop each hour until one person remains. Entries open 12 June 2026, minimum age 18 and an entry fee of £100.

June 2027

A 63 km mountain ultra in the Lake District with 4400 m of ascent, based at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn. The route takes in Scafell Pike, exposed ridgelines and technical trails and is part of the Skyrunner National Series with a 15 hour cut o..

Based at Kendal, this Lake District event centers on a roughly 100 km loop via Garburn Pass and Lake Windermere, with shorter distances available. Covered rest stops, medical teams, GPS tracking and camping options are provided.

Trail running at Coniston with marked, marshalled routes offering *10 km* and *16 km* options, scenic lake and fell views, live event village facilities, timed results and age and time entry requirements.

A trail running event around Coniston Water with marathon, half, 10k and 5k options. Well marked and marshalled courses, feed stations and an event village with food, live music and race commentary.

A three day multi day ultra running challenge along the Cumbria Way in the Lake District, from Ulverston to Carlisle with overnight stays in Great Langdale and Keswick. Small group format with bag transfer and a host accompanying the team.

Two Roses Ultra offers two 50 km routes in Lancashire or Yorkshire, or a 100 km figure of eight linking both. The 100 km course passes parks, woodland and moorland and has a 24 hour completion window.

July 2027

A guided trail running weekend in Horton in Ribblesdale tackling the Yorkshire 3 Peaks over a 38.6 km route with 1585 m ascent. Includes bunkhouse accommodation, guided runs and an optional 10 km recovery loop on the Pennine Way.

A 50K trail run from Whitby to Pickering with 3,322 ft of ascent and eight railway stations en route. The partially self-navigational course is fully tracked and has a 13 hour cutoff.

A 57 km mountain race with 3700 m ascent around Patterdale on 17 July 2027. The course is waymarked with multiple checkpoints, GPS tracking and ITRA/UTMB points across five ridge-lines and technical mountain terrain.
