Gibside National Trust Trail Runs 2026

This event takes place at the Gibside National Trust estate in Rowlands Gill on 29 April 2026. The runs take place across the estate’s gardens, woodland, and countryside within an 18th century designed landscape. The route passes historic features including the Neo‑classical Chapel, a restored stable block, and a large ruin, and wildlife such as deer are commonly seen on the trails.

Distances offered:

  • 5 km Trail Run : open to runners aged 11 and over
  • 10 km Trail Run : open to runners aged 15 and over

Detailed route maps and location references are provided, including a What3words location of ///activism.gender.baked. The event is Canicross friendly with one controlled dog allowed per runner. Live chip timing is used and results are available during the event. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink.
