Lakeland Trails in Coniston

Lakeland Trails in Coniston is a trail running event based at Coniston Sports and Social Club, taking runners from the shores of Coniston Water into the Coppermines Valley and past the Old Man and surrounding peaks. Courses follow well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways and offer panoramic views of Coniston Water, Swirl How, Wetherlam and Dow Crags.

Terrain is mainly hard packed trail with occasional muddy sections. The 16k route includes one short section that is notably difficult to run. Medical cover and radio communications are provided for safety. Marshals and stewards staff the course and car parks.
