Northumberland Alnwick Castle Trail Half Marathon
The event takes place on 24 May 2026 at Hulne Park near Alnwick Castle on the Northumberland Estate. It is part of the 2026 Run Northumberland Castles Challenge Series and offers multiple distances and a Junior race.
Distances include:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon two loops on park paths and farm tracks
- Junior 2 km
The half marathon course is traffic free, undulating and uses multi terrain surfaces. Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport. Minimum age for the half marathon is 17. Water stations are positioned every 3 miles and distance markers appear every mile. Race headquarters and registration are in Hulne Park, with bag drop, toilets, changing facilities, parking, first aid and on-site refreshments.
Entries are limited to 500 and close on 18 May 2026. Entry fees are listed as £30 for affiliated runners and £32 for unaffiliated runners. All finishers receive a unique Alnwick Castle Trail Run medal and there is an option to purchase a race t-shirt. Prizes include individual awards for the top three men and women, age group first places for M40+ and L35+ with qualifying numbers, and first team prizes for men and women with minimum team requirements.
