Northumberland Alnwick Castle Trail
The event takes place at Hulne Park on the Northumberland Estate near Alnwick Castle on 23rd May 2027. It offers multiple trail distances on mostly traffic-free park paths and farm tracks with a flat profile and mixed surfaces.
Distances include:
- Junior 2K
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport. All finishers receive an Alnwick Castle Trail Run medal and there is an opportunity to purchase a race t-shirt. Distance markers appear every kilometre and water is provided at the finish. Facilities at Race HQ include registration and bag drop, toilets, changing, parking with signs, first aid and refreshments.
Prizes include individual awards for the top three men and women, age-group first places where at least five finishers take part, and first team prizes for men and women teams when three team members score and at least three teams qualify. Club vests are required for team scoring. Dogs are not allowed on the grounds of the Northumberland Estate or in the race itself.
Entries are limited to 100 places. Entry fees are £14 for affiliated runners and £16 for unaffiliated runners. Entries close on 20th May 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
