Celebrate the shortest day with an 8 mile trail run along St Cuthbert's Way from Hethpool to Wooler. Cheviot Trail Events provides transport to the start; trail shoes recommended and dogs are not permitted.
Run a moonlit 15 km through Kielder Forest, climbing to the summit of Deadwater Fell before returning along forest tracks and mountain bike trails. This night race opens the Shadowlands Race Series with night prizes and series points.
Take on the Tour de Humbleton Trail Race on 28 December 2025 in Wooler, Northumberland. A scenic 5 mile loop from the Cheviot Centre with about 800 ft of climbing on marked trails for an invigorating winter run.
Kick off 2026 at the Wooler Vertical 1k Trail Race on 1 January in Wooler. This 4 miles out and back climbs 1000 feet to the top of Humbleton Hill from The Cheviot Centre for a bold New Year trail challenge.
