Alnwick Castle Trail Runs 2027

Alnwick Castle Trail Runs offers two off-road distances that start and finish by the River Aln beside Alnwick Castle. Routes pass through Hulne Park, the Priory, and parts of the castle grounds. Multiple participant reports describe steep hills and varied trail surfaces along the courses.

Event distances:

  • 10km (15+)
  • Half Marathon (15+)

Live chip timing will be provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, a snack and a drink. An exclusive event T-shirt is available for purchase for £12.

The event is not Cani-cross friendly because of site restrictions. Free on-site parking is available for participants. The organisers donate £4 from every entry to NE Youth, a regional youth development charity.

The venue is listed as The Peth, Alnwick, NE66 2LA, with the River Aln and Alnwick Castle forming the immediate start and finish area. Route maps are provided by the organiser for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
