The Enchanted Ultra 50K

Event

The Enchanted Ultra is a 50 km trail race in the Cheviot hills, based at Wooler Auction Mart in Wooler, United Kingdom. The course passes Humbleton Hill, joins St Cuthbert's Way, goes past the hillfort at Yeavering Bell and reaches checkpoint 1 at Hethpool (about 10 miles). The route continues through the College Valley to Mounthooley, passes close to Hen Hole, climbs the Cheviot and descends via the Harthope Burn to checkpoint 2 at Langleeford (about 22 miles), then returns to Wooler via Coldlaw, Snear Hill and Earl. The course covers varied terrain including grassy trails, rocky paths, woodlands and open moorland. A digital route and GPS navigation are required; a GPS tracker is provided.

• Distance: 50 km

Entries open 17 October 2025 and close 31 August 2026. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry fees are £60, rising to £70 from 1 January 2026. The entry package includes a digital route map, a waterproof map, a GPS tracker, marshals on the course, medical cover and two fully stocked aid stations (listed as including real Coke). Finish provisions include soup, sandwiches, a finisher's medal and a certificate. Ample parking is stated. Photography and filming may occur; entrants agree to possible use of their image.
