The Enchanted Ultra 50K

The Enchanted Ultra is a 50K trail event in the Cheviot Hills with a scheduled date of 19 September 2026 and a location listed as Wooler, GB. The course covers varied terrain including grassy trails, rocky paths, dense woodlands and open moorland, with steep ascents and descents. Participants must navigate using a provided digital route and a GPS device and have an overall time limit of 11 hours. The minimum age for entry is 18.

The route starts at The Mart in Wooler and passes Humbleton Hill to join St Cuthbert’s Way, continuing past the ancient hillfort of Yeavering Bell. Checkpoint 1 is at Hethpool (about 10 miles). The course follows College Valley to Mounthooley, passes close to Hen Hole (a location associated in local legend with fairies) and climbs to Cheviot. The descent via Harthope Burn leads to checkpoint 2 at Langleeford (about 22 miles) before returning to Wooler via local paths such as Coldlaw and Snear Hill.

Event services listed include a digital route map and a waterproof map, a GPS tracker, marshals, medical cover, two fully stocked aid stations, soup and sandwiches at the finish, and a finisher’s medal and certificate.
