The Enchanted Ultra 50K

The Enchanted Ultra is a 50K ultra-marathon on 19 September 2026 in the Cheviot Hills near Wooler, England. The course follows upland and moorland terrain and includes named features and historic sites in the Cheviots.

The route leaves Wooler from The Mart, passes Humbleton Hill, joins the St Cuthberts Way and continues past the ancient hillfort of Yeavering Bell. Checkpoint 1 is at Hethpool, about 10 miles in. The course continues through the College Valley to Mounthooley, passes close to Hen Hole, climbs Cheviot and descends via the Harthope Burn to checkpoint 2 at Langleeford, about 22 miles in, before returning to Wooler via Coldlaw and Snear Hill.

Navigation is by a digital route and a GPS device; the event provides a digital route map, a waterproof map and a GPS tracker. The organisers provide marshals around the course, medical cover and two fully stocked aid stations. The finish includes soup and sandwiches, a finisher’s medal and a certificate. The stated maximum time to complete the course is 11 hours. Entry fee is £70 and the minimum age is 18. The number of participants is limited. Trail runs nearby

A 100 km point to point trail from Melrose to Holy Island following the waymarked Saint Cuthbert's Way. The route crosses the Scottish Borders and Northumberland National Park, is marshalled with GPS tracking and has a 19.5 hour cut off.

A 10 km race on 12 July 2026 held within the grounds of Floors Castle in Kelso. The course mixes road and trail with uneven sections, offers water at 5 km and finish, and awards a medal and goodie bag to all finishers.

A marshalled, approximately 14 mile coastal race from Beadnell Harbour to Alnmouth Estuary on 26 July 2026 with a three hour 30 minute cut-off and a 1000-runner limit. Bus transfers and T-shirt options must be booked by 14 June 2026.

A seven mile trail through Ingram Valley that visits ancient hillforts and offers views of the Cheviot Hills. The course is fully marked and registration and race numbers are handled at Ingram Village Hall; dogs are not permitted.
