The Enchanted Ultra 50K is a trail ultramarathon held on Saturday 19 September 2026 in Wooler, Northumberland. The event is organised by Northern Fell Running and Cheviot TRAIL Events and is based at Wooler Auction Mart. The race distance is 50 km and the minimum age to enter is 18. Entries open 17 October 2025 and close 31 August 2026. Entry fees are £60 and rise to £70 from 1 January 2026. The entry list shows a small number of participants registered so far and the organisers limit the number of participants.
Race details
The route starts at The Mart in Wooler and passes Humbleton Hill, joins St Cuthbert's Way and goes past the ancient hillfort of Yeavering Bell. Checkpoint 1 is at Hethpool (about 10 miles). The course continues through College Valley to Mounthooley, passes close to Hen Hole, climbs Cheviot and descends via the Harthope Burn to checkpoint 2 at Langleeford (about 22 miles), then returns to Wooler via Coldlaw, Snear Hill and other local features. Competitors must navigate using a GPS device and follow a provided digital route. The race includes a time limit of 11 hours.
The entry fee includes a digital route map and a waterproof map, a GPS tracker, marshals, medical cover, two aid stations, post-race food, a finisher’s medal and a certificate.
