The Enchanted Ultra 50K

The Enchanted Ultra 50K is an organized trail ultra taking place on 19 September 2026 around the Cheviot Hills, based in Wooler, GB. The distance is 50K and the event is listed as an offline, scheduled race organized by Northern Fell Running Events Ltd.

The route starts at The Mart in Wooler and passes Humbleton Hill to join the St Cuthberts Way, then continues past the ancient hillfort of Yeavering Bell. Checkpoint 1 is at Hethpool (about 10 miles). The course follows the College Valley to Mounthooley, passes close to Hen Hole and climbs to Cheviot, then descends via the Harthope Burn to checkpoint 2 at Langleeford (about 22 miles). The return route goes to Wooler via Coldlaw, Snear Hill and Earl.

Navigation uses a digital route and participants are provided with a waterproof map and a GPS tracker. The event includes two fully stocked aid stations (noted as providing real Coke), marshals around the course and medical cover. There is an overall time limit of 11 hours. On completion participants receive a finisher’s medal and a certificate; soup and sandwiches are provided at the finish.

Entries open 17 October 2025 and close 8 September 2026 at 22:00. The minimum age is 18 and the entry fee is £70. The number of participants is limited. No dogs are allowed.
