The Enchanted Ultra 50K

The Enchanted Ultra 50K is a 50 kilometre fell running event on 19 September 2026 around the Cheviot Hills, starting in Wooler. The route starts at The Mart in Wooler, passes Humbleton Hill, joins St Cuthbert's Way, goes past the hillfort of Yeavering Bell, follows the College Valley to Mounthooley, passes close to Hen Hole, climbs Cheviot and descends via the Harthope Burn to Langleeford before returning to Wooler via Coldlaw, Snear Hill and Earl.

Participants must navigate using a digital route and a GPS device. A GPS tracker is provided with the entry package. The published route includes checkpoint 1 at Hethpool (about 10 miles) and checkpoint 2 at Langleeford (about 22 miles).

The event allows 11 hours to complete the course. The terrain includes open moorland, rolling hills, steep ascents and descents, grassy trails, rocky paths and dense woodland. Weather conditions can include strong winds and sub‑zero temperatures.

Entries open 17 October 2025 and close 31 August 2026 at 12:00. Minimum age is 18 and the entry fee is £70. The entry package includes a digital route map, a waterproof map, marshals, medical cover, two stocked aid stations, soup and sandwiches at the finish, a finisher medal and a certificate. Parking is described as ample. Dogs are not allowed. Participants may be photographed or filmed and images may be used for promotional purposes. An 8 miles trail race on 19 April 2026 around Wooler, Northumberland, starting and finishing at Ad Gefrin Distillery. The marked route climbs Yeavering Bell Hill and follows St Cuthbert's Way back to the distillery; dogs are not allowed.

The The Tour de Humbleton Trail Race will take place in Wooler on Sunday 19 April 2026.

A multi terrain trail run of about 10 km in Hulne Park, Alnwick on 5 May 2026. Entry fees differ for affiliated and non affiliated runners and prizes are awarded to individual and team winners.

A coastal marathon on 9 May 2026 covering 26.2 Miles from Lower Burnmouth to Lindisfarne via Berwick, beaches and the Pilgrims causeway. The event requires running only, includes a causeway cut off at 19 miles and a six hour limit.
