Course and logistics
The course includes ascents of Hedgehope Hill and The Cheviot. A cut off of 3 hours applies to the halfway point, described as climbing The Cheviot and returning; participants who meet this cut off may continue to Hedgehope. The event is a timed race with race bibs and finisher medals. The organisers provide marshals, a water station at the halfway point, a GPX file of the route, and oversight by mountain rescue. Recommended kit includes trail shoes, waterproofs, a whistle, hat and gloves. The event notes limited parking in the valley and suggests car sharing. Stalls in the event village operate cash only due to no mobile signal.
