Eight Stations Ultra

CBTE Eight Stations Ultra

The event is a trail run of 50K with 3322 ft of total ascent. The route starts in Whitby and finishes in Pickering, following the Esk Valley Railway Line and then the North Yorkshire Moor Railway Line. Participants pass eight railway stations and much of the course runs alongside the railway, so trains may be visible from parts of the route.

The course is partially self-navigational. Organisers provide a route map, a step by step route description and a GPX file. The route surface can include muddy sections, rocks and trees. The event is fully tracked using Open Tracking. There is a 13 hour cutoff, and the organisers note the event is suitable for quick walkers.

Entries open on 21 April 2026 and close on 19 June 2027. Minimum age to enter is 20 years. Entry fees are listed as £65 for affiliated runners and £67 for non affiliated runners. Prizes include trophies for first male, female and non binary finishers, and trophies for first male and female in the 50, 60 and 70 age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
