The Eight Stations Ultra is a trail running event held on Sunday 12 July 2026. The route is described as about 30 miles and is also referred to as 50K in some material; it has 3322 ft of elevation. The course is partially self-navigational and will be fully live-tracked for 2026. A 13-hour time limit is applied for completing the route. The minimum entry age is 20.

Route and logistics

The route starts in Whitby, follows the Esk Valley Railway Line and then the North Yorkshire Moors Railway Line, and finishes in Pickering, passing eight railway stations and running alongside the railway for much of the way. The organiser provides a GPX file, route map and a step-by-step description. There will be four marshaled checkpoints with water and basic snacks at two of those checkpoints. First aid and tail runners will be available on the day. Dogs are not permitted; walking the route is allowed within the 13-hour limit.

Entry fees are stated as £67 standard or £65 affiliate, with an optional coach from Pickering to Whitby available for an additional £22. The entry package includes a finishers medal, t-shirt, water and snacks. Trophies are listed for 1st male, 1st female, 1st non-binary and age-category winners (female and male 50, 60 and 70).
