Locomotion Trail Runs

Stockton-on-Tees, United Kingdom • 21 Sep 2025

Locomotion Trail Runs celebrates the 200th anniversary of the Stockton and Darlington Railway with routes: 10 miles and 5 miles. The event is held at Locomotion, Station Road, Eaglescliffe (TS16 0BU), as a charity event raising funds for the Great North Air Ambulance. The courses mix road and track: the 10-mile route covers about 3 miles on roads and 7 on track, passing Preston Park, Teesdale Way, and S&DR Ticket Office in Stockton before returning to Locomotion; the 5-mile route covers about 1.5 miles on roads and 3.5 on track, finishing at Locomotion. The event is dog-friendly and partly follows the original railway route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
