Hardmoors 60

The Hardmoors 60 is a long distance trail race held on 19 September 2026 along the Cleveland Way from Guisborough to Filey. The course distance is 63 miles with total ascent of about 8,202 ft / 2,500 m and follows coastal paths and cliff tops through Saltburn, Runswick Bay, Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar and Scarborough before finishing in Filey.

Competitors have 18 hours to complete the course and must pass through all timed checkpoints. Manned checkpoints provide water at each location and food at several points; two non‑returnable drop bags per competitor are permitted and are collected for Runswick Bay and Ravenscar. No plastic cups will be supplied at checkpoints and dogs are not allowed at the event.

A tracker is provided with entry to transmit location for safety and tracking. Mandatory kit is checked at registration and must be carried for the duration of the race; required items include a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, a headtorch plus spare, a paper map, whistle, survival bag or foil blanket, a mobile phone and at least 0.5 litre of drink. Tide and high tide diversions apply at Runswick Bay and Scarborough and marshals’ instructions must be followed; any waiting time for tides will be recorded and subtracted from finish times.

Entry details include an entry fee from £122 and an overall entry limit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
