Rab Scafell Sky Ultra 2026

The Rab Scafell Sky Ultra is a mountain running event located in the Central and Southern Lake District. The course covers 63 km with a total vertical gain of 4400 m. The route consists of technical, single-track trails and ridge-lines that include the highest summit in England. The event is part of the Skyrunner National Series for the UK and Ireland.

The race starts and finishes at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn. Participants have a maximum time limit of 15 hours to complete the course. The terrain is steep and technical, requiring runners to be confident in mountain environments. While entries are not vetted, participants are expected to have experience in long-distance technical trail races, skyrunning, or long-category fell races.

Registration is open to individuals aged 19 or older on the day of the event. The entry fee includes a fully marked course, four supplied feed stations, and manned checkpoints. Jarrett's Jaunt is a Lake District fell race from Wath Brow Bridge, with rugged trails, steep climbs and great views. About 9 km with 440 m ascent, the handicap format gives a fun competitive test and pre entry is required.
