Scafell Sky Race

The Rab Scafell Sky Race is a mountain skyrunning event based at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn in the central Lake District. The course covers 38 km with 2800 m of ascent and follows a newly designed circular route over Lakeland fells and through valleys. The route includes technical single-track trails and sections of scree and gains the summit of England's highest mountain.

The event is scheduled for 6 June 2026 and has a maximum allowed time of 12 hours. Minimum entry age is 19. Entries are not vetted; by entering competitors attest their competence to complete the course and may be removed if they deliberately misrepresent experience or ability.

Included in the entry fee are a fully marked course, two fully supplied feed stations with manned checkpoints, electronic timing and tracking, a professional safety officer with supporting safety team, and a finishers seed bomb medal. The race holds a ranking within the Skyrunning UK series. Event facilities at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn include on site event space and live music as part of the race day arrangements.
