Rab Scafell Sky Race 2027

Rab Scafell Sky Race is a mountain running event in the central Lake District covering 38 km with 2800 m of ascent. The route is run on technical single track trails and sections of scree, and includes a summit of England's highest mountain. The course runs from Lanty Slees Stickle Barn and traverses a series of Lakeland fells and valleys.

The event is organized by Lake District Sky Trails and is part of the Skyrunning UK series. The course is fully marked and uses electronic timing and tracking. There are two fully supplied feed stations and manned mountain checkpoints. A professional safety officer and supporting safety team are provided. The maximum time allowed for the event is 12 hours. Entry requires participants to be aged 19 or older on race day and entries are not vetted; by entering participants attest their competence to complete the course.

Included with entry are a finishers Seed Bomb Medal, course marking, timing and tracking, and a ranking within the Skyrunner National Series for the UK and Ireland.
