Panopticons Ultra

The Panopticons Ultra is a 32-mile (52 km) point-to-point trail ultra run. The route takes in four public art installations called 'Panopticons' by Mid Pennine Arts, located in the South Pennines of East Lancashire.

The run starts at Corporation Park in Blackburn, at the Colourfields installation. It then passes Halo in Haslingden, Singing Ringing Tree overlooking Burnley, and Atom in Wycoller, finishing in the village of Trawden. The course uses sections of established trails including the Pennine Way, the Rossendale Way, and the Pennine Bridleway near Boulsworth Hill.

The total elevation gain is approximately 4,700 feet (1,430 m). A map, GPX file, and basic written instructions are provided for navigation.

Registration opens in Trawden from 6:15 AM. A transport service from Trawden to the start in Blackburn is provided from 7:00 AM. A race briefing is at 8:00 AM, followed by the start. The finish line cut-off is at 6:00 PM, allowing a 10-hour time limit.

The required kit includes full body waterproof cover, a map and compass, a whistle, a mug, and a fully-charged mobile phone. Trail or fell footwear is mandatory. Minimum age for entry is 18 years. No dogs are allowed.

Choose a 25-mile or 12-mile route through the Yorkshire Dales, open to walkers and runners. It starts from Cracoe Village Hall and includes checkpoints with refreshments. The event must be completed within 10 hours.

A winter fell race starting near Todmorden town centre. The 13.3km course has 660m of climbing over steep and rough terrain. Full FRA mandatory kit is required.
