Tackle the classic Wardle Skyline, a scenic fell race in the South West Pennines on Sat 11 Apr 2026. The 11.3 km route climbs 381 m from Wardle Square and accepts pre entries and same day entry for runners after a spirited hill challenge.

Summit 2 Sea Offa's Dyke Half Marathon sends runners from the summit of Moel y Parc along the Offa's Dyke Trail to a sea level finish on Prestatyn beach at the Nova Centre. Expect testing climbs, dramatic descent and sweeping coastal views.

A 28 mile (45 km) out and back along the traffic free Brampton Valley Way with a Leicestershire vs Northamptonshire team contest, timing mats at each end, feed stations and two dark tunnels. Entry £32, minimum age 18.

Trail runs through the Bramham Park estate on 12 April 2026 with 5km, 10km and half marathon routes. Canicross friendly, chip timing provided and finishers receive a medal, merchandise, a snack and a drink.

Three fell races around Dinas Bran in Llangollen include long, medium and a new 5 mile course. The event donates profits to the local mountain rescue and Llangollen Foodbank.

A scenic 10k trail run in the Nene Valley starting and finishing at KC Active, Kings Cliffe. The circular, fully marked route runs on tracks, fields and disused railway lines with a staffed aid station and eco measures in place.

A chip timed 10 mile trail run starting and finishing at Rivington Village, following a loop via White Coppice and Wheelton Plantation. Organised by Trail Blazing Events, it offers bespoke finisher medals and prizes across age categories.

Tackle a classic spring fell race in Mow Cop on Sun 12 Apr 2026: 10.5 km with 400 m of climb across stirring hill terrain. Entries on the day for adults 18 and over, with team scoring and friendly club spirit.

A short fell race in Wirksworth that climbs to a trig point and returns over trails and fields. The main course is about 6.9 km and there are separate short and junior races for younger runners.

Join the Bunny Run 2 in Haworth on Tue 14 Apr for a lively 3 mile course with 100 m climb across the South West Pennines. Teams welcome, minimum age 12, finishers get a Cadbury Creme Egg and Easter egg prizes with chip butties and pub hospi..

Take on the Ossy Moors Fell Race in Oswaldtwistle on Wednesday 15 April 2026. This lively 5 mile fell course with about 300 m of climb weaves Bowland trails and offers on the day entry for a friendly competitive vibe.

Take on a midweek Peak District challenge at Herod Farm: a scenic but testing 3 mile route with 340 m of climb. Pre entry is £6 or £10 on the night; registration runs 18:15 to 19:15.

Take on the inaugural MTC Gelert 47 mile ultra from Barmouth to Llanidloes on 16 April 2026, the third day of the MTC CYMRUN end to end. Limited field, bespoke medal for all finishers and real time tracking for supporters.

Take on 230 km of Pennine Bridleway and upland trails through the Peak District to Cumbria with 75 hours to finish. Limited to 30 runners, this rugged multi day challenge features checkpoints with hot meals, bunks and course support.

A 137 km Pennine Bridleway trail challenge over 50 hours with 3275 m ascent, runnable sections and technical climbs. Indoor checkpoints, hot meals, drop bags and hostel finish are provided; entries limited to 20.

A trail 5 km race around Clowbridge Reservoir, first of a three race spring series on consecutive Thursdays in April 2026. The two lap anticlockwise course has about 25 m of elevation and offers prizes with local fundraising.

A 102 mile trail ultramarathon around Chester on 18 April 2026 with 1590 m of ascent, 12 checkpoints and a 32 hour cut off. TRA licensed event with live GPS tracking and entry fees from £207.
