Trail runs nearby

A community-led off road trail run at North Leverton Windmill on 1 March 2026, roughly 10 kilometres over undulating, muddy and firmer lanes. Organised by volunteers as a not-for-profit event; finishers get local flour, a medal and honey.

A challenging 24-mile fell run across the Saddleworth moors, visiting ten reservoirs. It features significant elevation gain and three refreshment checkpoints. Full kit and pre-entry are required.
