Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon & Half Marathon

The Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon & Half Marathon is a long-standing off-road running event organized by Keighley & Craven AC. The competition takes place on a variety of terrains, including open moorland, trails, and woods. As the event is held under Fell Runners Association (FRA) rules and guidelines, participants are required to carry mandatory minimum kit.

The event offers two main distances:

  • Marathon (approximately 26.2 miles with 3065 feet of ascent)
  • Half Marathon (approximately 14.8 miles with 1750 feet of ascent)

Participants in the full marathon distance can enter as solo runners or in pairs. The half marathon course is open to both runners and walkers. The organizers provide well-stocked feed stations along the routes, which include items such as salted potatoes, fruit cake, and cheese. While the course is marked, participants are advised to be familiar with the route and must carry a relevant map.

Amenities at the event include pre-race hot drinks and hot food with refreshments at the finish line. Results are tracked using live timing systems. The event supports various charitable causes and adheres to specific inclusivity guidelines to encourage a wide range of participation. Entry fees vary based on the date of registration and membership status with the Fell Runners Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
