The 32nd Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on 14 September 2025 in Haworth, starting from Haworth Primary School, Rawdon Road, Haworth (BD22 8DW). The event offers the following race distances:

  • 26.2 miles - 3065 ft ascent
  • 14.8 miles - 1750 ft ascent

Both races are off-road and follow routes across open moorland, trails and woods. The full marathon accepts solo and pairs entries (pairs category only in the full marathon). Chip timing is used and live timing/results are provided.

Course, logistics and entries

The route is partially marked; competitors are recommended to recce the course. Waterproof route maps and GPX files are available and reccy runs are scheduled in July and August. Feed stations: five on the full marathon and two on the half; stations supply water, squash, cola, fruit and snacks, with extra items at later marathon stations.

The event is run under Fell Runners Association (FRA) rules. Mandatory minimum kit applies and GPS use is not permitted as per FRA guidelines. Early starts and generous cutoffs are offered for slower runners. Entry fees were set at £22 (early) then £25, with a £4 FRA discount and a £10 under-25 discount; optional race clothing is available (£8 short sleeve, £13 long sleeve, £32 hoodie). The 2025 races sold out in February 2025 and the waiting list is closed. Net proceeds support local mountain rescue teams, Haworth Primary School and club junior activities.
