The Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon & Half Marathon is organised by Keighley & Craven Athletics Club and takes place in Bronte Country and the Aire Valley. The 33rd edition is scheduled for Sunday 13 September 2026. The event offers the following distances:

  • 26.2 miles with 3065 feet of ascent
  • 14.8 miles with 1750 feet of ascent

Entries have sold out in recent years and entries for 2026 opened on 1 October 2025 and close on 31 July 2026. Entry fees are tiered and include discounts for Fell Runners Association members and for competitors aged under 25.

Race details

The route covers open moorland, trails and woods and is marked; Fell Runners Association (FRA) mandatory minimum kit applies to both races. Feed stations are positioned on-course as follows: the half has stations at 8.2 miles and 12.3 miles; the full has stations at 8.2, 15.3, 18.4, 21.7 and 23.9 miles. Feed stations typically offer water, squash, cola, fruit, chocolate, sweets and some distinctive items such as Port and Stilton; marathon stations may also include salted potatoes, crisps, fruitcake and ice creams on hot days. Chip timing and live web updates are provided. Free guided recce runs are organised in July and August and waterproof route maps are sold for £2.50. Race 3 of the PECO Cross Country League takes runners to West Park and Beckett Park in Leeds on 4 January 2026 for an undulating single lap of about 4.5 to 5.0 miles. Club teams race in men's and ladies divisions with HQ at The Dalesman.
