Clowbridge 5k - Autumn 2/3
A trail race covering 5 km on a popular route off the Pennine Bridleway around Clowbridge Reservoir. The event is part of a three-race autumn series held on Thursdays on 3, 10 and 17 September 2026 and is open to participants aged 11 and over.
The course comprises two laps of the trail path around the reservoir, run anti-clockwise from Rossendale Valley Sailing Club, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 5PF. The route has about 25 m of elevation gain over the 5 km and is described as a flat, fast trail. Races are marshalled and there are prizes awarded in each race.
Entries open 21 March 2026 and close 9 September 2026. The published entry fee is £6.50 and entries are administered through the SiEntries system, which requires a user login or registration. Participants are asked to park sensibly; available parking includes the lower car park at the Sailing Club and Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir.
Event proceeds from the series will be donated to local causes. The organising group RunJMC is listed as the event organiser and licensing with ARC is pending. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
