Clowbridge 5k - Autumn 2/3

Clowbridge 5k is a trail race held at Clowbridge Reservoir, using a popular route off the Pennine Bridleway. The course is two anticlockwise laps of the trail path, starting from Rossendale Valley Sailing Club on Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 5PF. The distance is 5 km with about 25 m of elevation across the course and is described as flat.

The event is open to runners aged 11 and over and forms one round of a three race series on Thursdays on 3, 10 and 17 September 2026. Each race offers prizes and is marshalled. Parking is available locally, including the lower car park at the Sailing Club and Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir, with a request to park sensibly.

Entries have a fee of £6.50. Entry period runs from 21 March 2026 until 9 September 2026. Proceeds from the series will be donated to local causes.
