Robin Hood 100
The Robin Hood 100 is a fully marked ultramarathon of 100 Miles that leaves from South Wheatley Village Hall and visits Sherwood Forest before returning to South Wheatley. The route follows the Chesterfield Canal towpath into Worksop, then joins trails that loop through the Dukeries and into the heart of Sherwood Forest. The course passes Creswell Crags, the Welbeck Estate, Clumber Park and the Thoresby Estate, and it passes the Major Oak.
The terrain is described as runnable with good underfoot conditions. There are no major climbs and the route features occasional steady undulations. The event includes two repeated forest loops of roughly 30 miles each and a return on the same towpath for the finish. Clear tape and arrows mark the course and marshals staff aid stations.
Support and logistics include regularly placed, well stocked aid stations, drop bags at Aid Station 4 (accessible at mile 51.8 and 81.4), and a drinks point at the start area. Pacers are allowed from approximately 50 miles; only one pacer may accompany a runner at a time. Runners will not wear GPS trackers; attendance is recorded at aid stations. First aid medics and toilets are provided at the headquarters and on route where available.
Entries are open until three weeks before the event or until full. The entry fee is listed as 164 and the maximum field is 150 runners. The event runs every other year with the next race scheduled for September 2026. A 30 hour overall cut off applies and specific cut off locations will be enforced.
