Trail Running calendar near Dalston 2026-2027

A Lake District trail running event at Grasmere offering five routes from 9 km to 52 km across fells and tarns, with outposts on longer routes, mandatory kit requirements and a £1 donation per entry to Fix the Fells.

Classic fell race in Kettlewell, Yorkshire Dales: 4 mile route with 475 m climb over rugged upland terrain. Open to 16+ with pre entry or entry on the day, teams welcome and free parking for entrants.

A 30 km hill race from Traquair House to Broughton Ales across the Scottish Borders with roughly 1500 m of ascent. The route uses hill tracks and open heather, has eight marshalled checkpoints and requires mandatory emergency kit.

A charity relay in Malham on 27 September 2026 with mixed teams made up on the day. Each leg is about 0.70 miles with 240 feet of climb, entry is £5 per person and all ages run together.

Trail running festival at Dalkeith Country Park on 27 September 2026 offering distances from a family 1 mile to an ultra marathon. Courses use woodland, firm paths and grassy stretches and one well-controlled dog per runner is allowed.

A BM category fell race in Waddington on 27 September 2026 covering 11.3 km with 415 m ascent. The route is marshalled and partially flagged with a checkpoint on Waddington Fell and a cut off at Summit House Farm.
