Stanza Stones Summer Edition is scheduled for 6 June 2026 and is organised by CraggRunner. The event is a 24 hour, linear route of 50 miles with over 6600 ft of ascent. Route and services
The route starts in Marsden, West Yorkshire and finishes in Ilkley. It visits the six Stanza Stones, each bearing a poem by Simon Armitage and linked to the theme of water. The stone names are Snow, Rain, Mist, Dew, Puddle and Beck. The course crosses South Pennines moorland, passes the village of Haworth and includes a climb over Ilkley Moor.
Included services are live tracking supplied by Open Tracking, three indoor checkpoints with food and drink, a finisher's meal, the option to register at either end of the route and changing rooms at the finish. Optional extras listed are a coach from Ilkley to Marsden (£11), a quality cotton t-shirt to purchase (£25) and transport after finishing.
