The Stanza Stones Summer Edition is a 24 hour, 50 miles linear route with over 6600 ft of ascent. The route starts at Marsden, West Yorkshire, and finishes in Ilkley. Runners visit six Stanza Stones along the route and cross moorland of the South Pennines. The historical village of Haworth is also visited before the climb over Ilkley Moor. The six Stanza Stones are inscribed with poems and are named Snow, Rain, Mist, Dew, Puddle and Beck. The minimum age to enter is 20 years.

Entries, facilities and extras

Entries open on 19 July 2025 and close on 24 May 2026. Entry fees are listed with different rates for UKA members and non-members, and increased fees apply from 01/10/2025. The event includes live tracking supplied by Open Tracking, three indoor checkpoints with food and drink, a finishers meal, the option to register at either end of the route, and changing rooms at the finish. Optional extras include a coach from Ilkley to the start (£11), an optional cotton t-shirt (£25), and separate transport options after finishing.
