Trail Outlaws stages night trail races at Kielder Waterside, a gold tier Dark Sky Park, with distances from 10K up to 26.6 miles and entry prices from £23 to £65.

April 2027

A roughly 100 km coast-to-coast ultra across the Lake District with about 3,500 m ascent, marked support points and mandatory kit checks. The route follows Wainwright’s trail from St Bees to Shap and includes GPX and map support.

A 26 miles anti clockwise loop around Allendale, Northumberland, organised by North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team to raise funds. The route crosses Hard Rigg, Black Hill and Kilhope Law and returns via Spartylea, The Drag and Ladlewell.

The Northern Traverse will take place in Saint Bees from Saturday 3 April 2027 to Wednesday 7 April 2027. You can run 300 kilometers.

A single-category fell race at Barley on Sat 3 Apr 2027 covering 7.3 km with 457 m of climb; entry is on the day only with modest fees and the event carries FRA permit insurance.

A 55 km ultra along Wainwright’s coast to coast route from Kirkby Stephen to Richmond on 4 April 2027. The event crosses the North Pennines and Yorkshire Dales with mandatory kit checks, staffed aid stations and a transported finishers bag.

Forest trail event in Whinlatter on 4 April 2027 offering 9 km and 12 km routes with substantial ascent. Both courses use wide forest tracks, are chip timed, and allow dogs on a suitable harness.
