Lakeland Trails Ultra is a trail running event based in Ambleside, Cumbria, offering four measured distances. The courses are fully waymarked and marshalled and run on mainly hard-packed trails with some muddy sections and road crossings. Routes share final sections that give views across Windermere, Rydal Water, Grasmere and the Langdale valley.

The 23k route has two feed stations and the 14k has a water station at about 8.5 km; the Ultra courses have multiple feed and water stations. Time limits and age minimums apply: entrants must be 18 or over for most Ultra events, the 14k requires entrants to be 17 or over, and strict cut-off times are enforced.
