Newcastle Pretty Muddy 5k : Town Moor, Newcastle

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course held at Town Moor, near Exhibition Park, Newcastle (NE2 4PZ) on Saturday 11 July 2026. The start and finish are on grass and the course is mainly on grass with small sections on paths. The what3words location for the start is cone.vocal.silk. Meeting point is on the field next to the Claremont Road bridge and Exhibition Park.

Entry fees listed are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Wave starts run every 15 minutes to manage safety on the course; groups should select the same wave time. Obstacles are supervised by marshals and participants may skip obstacles if needed.

Transport notes state there is no event parking on site; city centre car parks and limited roadside parking on Claremont Road are advised. Drop offs can be made at the Exhibition Park entrance. Newcastle Central Station is a 26 minute walk and Jesmond Metro is a 15 minute walk. There are no bike racks on site.

Available facilities include refreshments and toilets. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs, bag drop and showers are not available. Accessibility measures include sunflower wristbands, trained Event Managers and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content.

A 10 km trail race in Chopwell Woods with an unconventional staggered start where runners choose when to begin and the clock runs continuously. Entrants must be 16 or older and entries are handled through SiEntries.

Five and ten kilometre trail runs around Derwent Reservoir on 17 May 2026, with firm trails, some grass and woodland. Live chip timing, Canicross friendly, finishers get a medal and merchandise.

A **10 km** trail race on a fast, flat course, open to all ages and abilities. All entries get a medal and goody bag and top two men and top two women receive prizes, with spot prizes and a series league table.

A 7 hour timed trail event in Durham along the River Wear with looped laps from a 3 km minimum. Finishers receive a themed medal and goody bag and distance pins are available for half marathon and longer.
