Newcastle Pretty Muddy 5k at Town Moor, Newcastle

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course held on the Town Moor near Exhibition Park, Newcastle NE2 3BX. The start and finish are on grass. The course is flat and uses mixed terrain, including paths, road and small sections of grass. The 10k option is a double lap of the 5k course.

Participants must be at least 13 years old on the day; a separate Pretty Muddy Kids programme exists for children aged 12 and under. Start times are staggered in waves every 15 minutes; groups are asked to register for the same wave. Marshals are present on the course and participants may skip obstacles if necessary.

Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. The site is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs; in wet weather the grass areas may become soft or muddy. Dogs are not allowed. There are no showers, no bag drop, and no bike racks.

Travel and parking information notes that no event parking is available; city centre car parks should be used and limited roadside parking is available on Claremont Road. Drop-offs are at the entrance to Exhibition Park. Blue Badge parking is not available at the event. Nearest electric car charging is at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. Newcastle Central Station is about a 26 minute walk and Jesmond Metro about a 15 minute walk; there are bus stops along Great North Road and pedestrian access via gates from Great North Road.

The event lists earlybird prices of £11.24 for adults and £6.00 for children, and a minimum fundraising target of £50.00.
