Ultra Tour Lancashire (UTL 50 & UTL 100)

Ultra Tour Lancashire is a multi-day ultra running event based at Dunsop Bridge, BB7 3BB, United Kingdom. The event takes place across 27 and 28 August 2027 and uses circular courses that pass through the Forest of Bowland, parts of the Lancashire countryside, and the historic city of Lancaster.

Courses include the following distances:

  • 50KM+ circular route around Stocks Reservoir and surrounding fells
  • 100 mile circular route exploring Forest of Bowland and canal and riverside paths through Lancaster

The 50KM+ course features quiet fells, working farmland, country roads and farm tracks, and a full circumnavigation of Stocks Reservoir with views of Gisburn Forest. The 100 mile course combines remote upland terrain with canal and riverside sections, visiting multiple countryside locations in Lancashire.

Entries open on 27 August 2026 and close on 1 August 2027. Minimum age for entry is 21 years. Published entry fees for 2027 are £80.00 for the 50KM+ event and £209.00 for the 100 mile event. Trail runs nearby

A short fell race near Cracoe on Sunday 19 July 2026 covering 2.60 miles with about 900 feet of climb. The route crosses fields, includes a trailer and a wall to climb, rough ground and a final steep ascent.

Tackle the rugged Bowland slopes at the Hapton Fell Race, a challenging 5 miles with about 400 m of climb near Burnley. Day of entry makes it ideal for last minute plans and friendly club rivalry.

A new 10 km trail race around Clowbridge Reservoir and the Pennine Bridleway on 23 July 2026, featuring 175 m elevation and organised by Run JMC.

Fell race at Beetham Sports Field in the Lake District on Sat 25 Jul 2026. The course is 9.3 km with 283 m of ascent and the day includes traditional village sports and junior races on the field.
