Wild Deer Events returns to its home course at Chopwell Woods, the site of the organiser's first event in 2019, for the annual Summer Trail Runs. The event takes place at Chopwell Woods, Rowlands Gill, NE39 1LT.
Chopwell Woods is a Forestry England site set within 360 hectares of mixed woodland next to Rowlands Gill on the fringe of Gateshead. The venue is also used for the organiser's Christmas Trail Runs each December.

A 5 mile lap route is published for guidance. The event is canicross friendly and allows one controlled dog per runner. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, a burger or alternative, and a drink.
