LRC Tees Trailtastic : Barnard Castle, County Durham

LRC Tees Trailtastic is a trail running event at the TCR Hub in Barnard Castle on 21 June 2026. The event is positioned as an off-road adventure rather than a race and uses sections of the Teesdale Way over rolling terrain with a few gentle inclines and descents.

Distances offered:

  • 3.5 miles
  • 9 miles
  • 15 miles

All courses are fully marked, marshalled, and signposted. Aid stations are provided on the routes: one for the 3.5 mile course, two for the 9 mile course, and four for the 15 mile course; these offer water and fuel and hydration supplied by Precision Fuel & Hydration. There is a five hour cut-off time which accommodates walk-runners.

Event provisions include finish-line items, free professional photographs, optional group warm-up, and three short post-run yoga sessions on the grass (weather permitting). Spot prizes will be awarded on the day and every finisher receives an event memento.

Practical information: toilets are available at the race headquarters. Paid car parking is available at Teesdale School for £5, with limited free parking around the town. There are no changing facilities at the TCR Hub. Age limits apply: 3.5 mile entrants must be 15 or older; 9 mile and 15 mile entrants must be 17 or older. TRA licensing and UK Athletics rules apply.
