About the race
LRC Tees Trailtastic is a trail running event in Teesdale based at the TCR Hub in Barnard Castle. Routes run on sections of the Teesdale Way over rolling terrain with a few gentle inclines and descents.
Courses offered:
- 3.5 miles
- 9 miles
- 15 miles
Age requirements apply by course: the 3.5 mile event is for runners aged 15 or older; the 9 mile and 15 mile events are for runners aged 17 or older. The event is TRA licensed and UK Athletics rules apply. The course is marked and marshalled, with a cut-off time of five hours.
Support and facilities include aid stations with water and fuel (one station on the 3.5 mile course, two on the 9 mile course, four on the 15 mile course), friendly marshals, finish-line mementos, free professional photographs, and optional group warm-up and post run yoga led by a Long Run Collective yoga teacher. Toilets are available at race HQ. There is paid parking at Teesdale School (fee applies) and limited free parking around the town. There are no changing facilities at the TCR Hub; participants are advised to leave valuables in a vehicle or with a spectator. All courses are signposted and marshalled.
