LRC Tees Trailtastic

LRC Tees Trailtastic is a trail running event held in Barnard Castle at the Tcr Hub on 21 June 2026. The event uses sections of the Teesdale Way and features rolling terrain with a few gentle inclines and descents. The event is organised under TRA licence and UK Athletics rules.

Distances offered:

  • 3.5 miles - entrants aged 15 years or older
  • 9 miles - entrants aged 17 years or older
  • 15 miles - entrants aged 17 years or older

Courses are fully marked and marshalled. Aid stations provide water and fuel with one station for the 3.5 mile route, two for the 9 mile route, and four for the 15 mile route. A five hour cut-off applies and walk-runners are welcome. All finishers receive a memento and there will be spot prizes from local businesses. Free professional photographs are provided and there are optional group warm-up and post-run yoga sessions on the grass, weather permitting.

Practical information: toilets are available at race headquarters. Paid car parking is available at Teesdale School for £5, and there are limited free parking spaces around the town. There are no changing facilities at the Tcr Hub. Entries open 4 December 2025 and close 15 June 2026. Entry fees range from £10 to £32 depending on distance and UKA membership status.
