Edinburgh Pretty Muddy 5k

Edinburgh Pretty Muddy is a single lap 5k obstacle event held on Sunday 21 June 2026 at The Meadows, Melville Drive, Edinburgh EH9 1ND. The route zig zags through the park and includes a series of muddy obstacles designed for participants to climb, crawl and slide. The course is mainly on grass, which may be uneven and can become waterlogged. The start and finish are on grass in the field to the right of Middle Meadow Walk, with the meeting point on the east side of the main pathway.

Entries are priced at Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Participants must be 13 years of age or older to take part in Pretty Muddy events; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are provided for younger children.

Wave starts run every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course. Marshals are present to assist and participants may skip obstacles if needed. Available onsite facilities include refreshments and toilets. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users, not suitable for pushchairs, and dogs are not allowed. There is no event parking or designated drop off area; bike racks are provided at Middle Meadow Walk and the nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverley.

Event organisers provide a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, community support and a Race for Life medal for finishers. Sunflower wristbands and BSL stage content via QR code are available onsite. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
