Druridge Bay 5k & 10k Trail Runs

The event takes place at Druridge Bay Country Park, A1068 Red Row, Morpeth NE61 5BX, Great Britain. It offers two distance options and runs on a mix of paths, trails and the beach.

  • 10 km course mixing paths, trails and beach. Minimum age 16.
  • 5 km course mixing paths, trails and beach. Minimum age 15.

Courses are fully marked and include an aid station. The event features live chip timing with live online results, marshals on route, event photography, finish line merchandise and a finisher's medal. One controlled dog per runner is permitted as the event is canicross friendly.

Organiser information lists VO2 Max Events and online entry through Results Base. Entry fees are shown as £22 for the 10 km and £15 for the 5 km, plus a booking fee applied to each order; the stated fee per order is 5 percent. VO2 Max Events is partnering with HospiceCare North Northumberland, a local charity that provides free specialist support for adults 18 and over and families, including hospice at home palliative care, dementia care and bereavement services. A coastal race on 19 April 2026 from South Shields Pier to Roker Pier, about 7 miles along cliff paths past Marsden Rock and Souter Lighthouse. Entries open 2 February with separate fees for UKA registered and non registered runners.

An 8 miles trail race on 19 April 2026 around Wooler, Northumberland, starting and finishing at Ad Gefrin Distillery. The marked route climbs Yeavering Bell Hill and follows St Cuthbert's Way back to the distillery; dogs are not allowed.

Beyond Newcastle offers 55 km and 25 km trail runs from the Swing Bridge on Newcastle Quayside on 25 April 2026, with signed riverside routes, marshals, feed stations and live chip-timing.
