Druridge Bay 5k & 10k Trail Runs

The event takes place at Druridge Bay Country Park, A1068 Red Row, Morpeth NE61 5BX, Great Britain. It offers two distance options and runs on a mix of paths, trails and the beach.

  • 10 km course mixing paths, trails and beach. Minimum age 16.
  • 5 km course mixing paths, trails and beach. Minimum age 15.

Courses are fully marked and include an aid station. The event features live chip timing with live online results, marshals on route, event photography, finish line merchandise and a finisher's medal. One controlled dog per runner is permitted as the event is canicross friendly.

Organiser information lists VO2 Max Events and online entry through Results Base. Entry fees are shown as £22 for the 10 km and £15 for the 5 km, plus a booking fee applied to each order; the stated fee per order is 5 percent. VO2 Max Events is partnering with HospiceCare North Northumberland, a local charity that provides free specialist support for adults 18 and over and families, including hospice at home palliative care, dementia care and bereavement services. Trail Outlaws Urban Trail Series stages marked and marshalled local trail races from 5K to half marathon. Entry fees range £20 to £32; winners receive prizes and series entry offers a discount plus a presentation evening.

A waymarked 100 km point to point trail along the Northumberland coast from Bamburgh to Tynemouth Priory. The event includes six feed stations, medical cover, runner tracking and a 24 hour cut off.

The Fellrunner at Windy Gyle is a rugged 13.7 km test with 549 m of climb across scenic Northumberland hills on Sun 21 Jun 2026. Entry on the day is welcome with modest fees for members and non members.

Trail runs at Chopwell Woods near Rowlands Gill offering 5, 10 and 15 mile routes with live chip timing and canicross access. Finishers receive a medal, a burger or alternative and a drink; on-site parking is very limited.
