The Yomp - Super Saturday

The Yomp - Super Saturday is the Saturday programme within a three-day festival of fell running around Kirkby Stephen and Mallerstang in East Cumbria. Four organised courses run from Basecamp at The Engine Shed, Kirkby Stephen, and form part of a weekend of six events.

Course options on Saturday include:

JT Atkinsons 20k Yomp
Aldersons 10k Yomp

Age limits for the Saturday courses are specified by event: the Ultra and Mountain Marathon require entrants to be 18 or older; the 20k requires 16 or older; the 10k permits entrants from age 5. Entries on the day are available for the 10k and 20k only. Entry fees vary by course.

Safety and support measures are in place for longer courses: GPS tracking for competitors, way marking and marshals on the Mountain Marathon, and multiple feed stations on the Ultra. The Ultra and Mountain races include a compulsory kit check and have overall cut off times of 12.5 hours and 10 hours respectively. After the Saturday races, competitors are invited to a hot meal provided by race sponsors.
