Trail Running calendar near Accrington 2025-2026

The Montane Dragon's Back Race will take place in Conwy from Monday 7 September 2026 to Friday 11 September 2026.

Enjoy a Peak District fell race at Oxspring Playing Field, a punchy 6.2 km course with 190 m of ascent through scenic terrain. On the day entries welcome for a modest fee and the event is part of an eight race series.

Run the Robin Hood 100 miles ultra from Retford, a scenic trail course that follows canal towpaths and winds through Sherwood Forest. Expect runnable trails, iconic Major Oak views, staffed aid stations and a friendly atmosphere.

Take on the Leeds Country Way In A Day, a 100 km loop around Leeds on waymarked trails that showcase West and North Yorkshire views. Mostly rural with checkpoints, aid stations and a finisher medal for completing the full circuit.

Ultra X England is trail running from Edale in the Peak District with six distances from a 12 km Dash to a 110 km two day challenge. Aid stations, camping options and UTMB Index status for select races make it ideal for adventurous runners.

Run the Nine Edges Challenge, a 20 mile off road test across Peak District moorland and gritstone with about 900 m of ascent and mandatory map and compass navigation. Finish at a pub, enjoy a free drink and help fund Edale Mountain Rescue.

Run the Derbyshire Dales Trail from Bakewell Showground with 9 km, 15 km or 22 km routes along the Monsal Trail by the River Derwent. Scenic Chatsworth House views, supportive marshals and a lively finish await.

Tackle classic Lake District mountain navigation in mid September with three tough courses from 15 km to 29 km and hefty climbs. Applicants are vetted for fell running experience and pre entry is required; pairs welcome on the short course.

Take on the Peak District Challenge 2026 in Hathersage on 18 and 19 September, choosing routes from 25 km to 100 miles. Enjoy full safety support, team GPS tracking, a finish meal and a memorable outdoor adventure.
