Roundhay 50
Roundhay 50 is a Long Distance Walkers Association challenge event organised by the West Yorkshire local group in Northern England. The route covers 50 miles with a 22 hour time limit and follows two loops through rural areas to the north of Leeds. The course visits, among other locations, Temple Newsam, Meanwood Valley and the Harewood Estate. The stated start and finish location is St Andrews Roundhay United Reformed Church on Shaftesbury Avenue, Leeds LS8 1DS.
The event provides two start options, with one option aimed at faster walkers and runners. Registration and online entry are available and fees differ for LDWA members and non members; LDWA members are charged £35 and non members £50. Large scale digital mapping and rights of way data are used for route planning.
Accommodation listings are available for towns within about 20 km of the event, including Otley, Baildon and Burley-in-Wharfedale.
