Roundhay 50

The Roundhay 50 is a 50 mile figure of eight route around rural north Leeds. Both loops start and finish at St Andrews Roundhay United Reformed Church in Roundhay. Entrants may complete one loop or both loops.

The first loop passes through Roundhay Park, follows the Wyke Beck to Temple Newsam and then joins the Leeds Country Way, visiting Garforth, Barwick-in-Elmet, Thorner and Bardsey before returning via Wike and Shadwell. The second loop goes through Gledhow Valley Woods and the Meanwood Valley Trail with a checkpoint at Alwoodley, passes near Eccup Reservoir, enters Harewood Estate for a checkpoint in the village hall, and then returns to Roundhay by way of Wike.

Entries open on 1 June 2026 and close on 11 February 2027. The minimum age is 18. Entry fees are listed as £35 for LDWA members and £50 for non members, and the event has a limit of 220 entries. The event is scheduled in February and participants should expect winter conditions.

Minimum mandatory kit includes full waterproofs, hat, gloves, fleece top, long trousers, a map with the route, route description, compass, whistle, mug, emergency food and torch. Otley Chevin is a fell race on Wed 3 Jun 2026 in Otley, West Yorkshire. The course is 4.8 km (3 miles) with 210 m of climb and carries a UK Athletics permit from the FRA.

An evening pop-up run in Bingley along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, passing the Bingley Five Rise Locks. Two distances are offered, with on-the-night registration and a cash only policy; runners receive a medal and a drink.
