Brynkinalt Running Festival

The Brynkinalt Running Festival is a weekend trail event held on 6th and 7th March 2027 at Brynkinalt Estate on the edge of Wrexham. The festival features both canicross and standard trail running across routes that remain on private land and are not published outside the event.

Races take place across varied terrain on the estate, including fast footpaths, grass sections and short stony sections, with some climbs and views across the private grounds. Race headquarters and the start/finish are located in front of Brynkinalt Hall. Parking is at Brynkinalt Estate, Chirk, Trevor Road LL14 5HA; a £3 parking fee applies and organisers ask arrivals to approach via Trevor Road from Chirk town centre rather than the trade entrance.

Organisers plan one water station approximately halfway on the 10k and water points at the start and finish areas. Minimum ages are 12 years for the 5k and 16 years for the 10k. Finishers receive a medal and other event goodies, and awards are given to the top three female and top three male at each distance. The event lists The Movement Centre as a charity partner. A 6.7 km fell race around the Stiperstones from Snailbeach with 375 m of ascent, steady climbs and mixed descents. Entries are available by pre-entry or on the evening and proceeds support local charities and Natural England.

A running race from the Druid Inn near Llanferres covering 8 km with 366 m of climb. The course is BS partially marked and entry is £4 on the day; parking is limited so car sharing is advised.

A 59 mile point to point ultramarathon following much of the River Severn from Shrewsbury to Worcester. The race has four checkpoints with vegan and gluten free options and enforces a minimum pace of 4.0 miles per hour.

Nant Gain is a fell race near Cilcain covering 7.6 km with 370 m of ascent, starting and finishing at the Cilcain Waterworks and registering at The White Horse Pub. Entry is £3 on the night and minimum age is over 16.
