About the Event

The Brynkinalt Running Festival takes place on the Brynkinalt Estate in Wrexham, on private land normally closed to the public. The event is held over two days in mid-March. Canicross races are scheduled for the first day, with standard trail running on the second day.

Distances

The festival offers two approximate distances:

  • 5 km trail run
  • 10 km trail run

Course and Location

The routes use trails across the Brynkinalt Estate, incorporating footpaths, grassed areas, and some stony sections. The course includes climbs with views over the estate. The race headquarters, start, and finish are in front of Brynkinalt Hall (LL14 5NS). A water station is provided halfway on the 10 km route and at the start/finish area. Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottle.

Participant Information

Parking is available at Brynkinalt Estate on Trevor Road (LL14 5HA) for a fee. The start and finish area is a short walk from the parking. Minimum age requirements apply: 12 years for the 5 km and 16 years for the 10 km. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance. All finishers receive a medal and other items.
