Brynkinalt Running Festival

The Brynkinalt Running Festival takes place on 14th-15th March 2026 at the Brynkinalt Estate, Chirk, Wrexham LL14. The programme includes canicross events on the Saturday and trail running on the Sunday. The festival offers two approximate distances:

  • 5k (approx)
  • 10k (approx)

Both distances are held on private estate land that is normally closed to the public. The routes include fast footpaths, grassed areas, small stoney sections and climbs with views. Results and event photos are published after the races.

Logistics and race details

Race headquarters, start and finish are located in front of Brynkinalt Hall. Parking is on the estate at Trevor Road, LL14 5HA; entrants are asked to arrive from the centre of Chirk on Trevor Road rather than the trade entrance at the back. A parking fee of £3 applies. The race start and finish are a short walk from the parking area; there will be music and a help desk near the finish.

There is one water station located about halfway around the 10k route and water available by the start and finish; participants are asked to bring a suitable bottle if needed. Minimum ages are 12 for the 5k and 16 for the 10k. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male at each distance. The event lists The Movement Centre as a charity partner.
