Brynkinalt Running Festival

The Brynkinalt Running Festival is a weekend trail event held on 6th and 7th March 2027 at Brynkinalt Estate on the edge of Wrexham. The festival features both canicross and standard trail running across routes that remain on private land and are not published outside the event.

Distances offered:

  • 5k (approx)
  • 10k (approx)

Races take place across varied terrain on the estate, including fast footpaths, grass sections and short stony sections, with some climbs and views across the private grounds. Race headquarters and the start/finish are located in front of Brynkinalt Hall. Parking is at Brynkinalt Estate, Chirk, Trevor Road LL14 5HA; a £3 parking fee applies and organisers ask arrivals to approach via Trevor Road from Chirk town centre rather than the trade entrance.

Organisers plan one water station approximately halfway on the 10k and water points at the start and finish areas. Minimum ages are 12 years for the 5k and 16 years for the 10k. Finishers receive a medal and other event goodies, and awards are given to the top three female and top three male at each distance. The event lists The Movement Centre as a charity partner.
