Defeat Delamere

Defeat Delamere takes place on 13 September 2026 at Delamere Forest, Frodsham. Participants collect their race pack, including race number and timing chip, at on-the-day registration. A collective warm-up session is held for all entrants before the race.

Runners follow forest trails with varied terrain, including extended downhill stretches and straightaways. The course requires changes in pace and direction as runners move toward the finish line.

Race options include:

  • 5k, age 14 or older, fee £25
  • 10k, age 15 or older, fee £30
  • 16k, age 16 or older, fee £40
  • Junior Race, age 4 or older, includes an accompanying chaperone place, fee £15

Entry benefits include a race pack with race number, timing chip and safety pins, a finisher medal, a finisher t-shirt and post race hydration. Parking is available at Whitefield car park. The onsite Delamere Forest visitor centre café offers hot and cold drinks and light snacks, and the main toilet block is available to runners, spectators and volunteers. There is no formal bag drop onsite.

All funds raised support the organising charity. Participants are expected to read and agree to the event terms and conditions when they register. Phoenix Blaze in Manchester is the second race of a 2026 Summer Series at Chorlton Water Park. Timed laps on a 5.3 km out-and-back course let participants cover distances from a single lap up to ultra within a seven hour limit.

A short 1.6 km hill race with 95 m of climb on Sugar Lane in Rainow on 11 July 2026, held as part of the Rainow Village Fete. Open to runners aged 8 and over with entry on the day.

A point-to-point trail run from Bury to Rawtenstall alongside the East Lancashire Railway and the River Irwell. Runners try to keep pace with a steam train while supporters can ride the train; finishers receive a medal and T-shirt.

A chip-timed 5-mile multi-terrain race through Arrowe Park on 12 July 2026, featuring woodland trails, grassy paths and parkland. Water stations, on-site toilets, a finish medal and goody bag are provided.
