Defeat Delamere

Defeat Delamere returns for its fifth year at Delamere Forest, Frodsham, on 13th September 2026. The event offers a range of races and on-the-day registration where participants collect a race pack that includes a race number and a timing chip. A group warm up takes place before competitors head to the start line.

Runners traverse forest terrain with a mix of extended downhill sections and straightaways that encourage varied pacing along the course. Course navigation and footing are part of the event experience.

Race options include:

• 5k: age 14 or older; fee £25
• 10k: age 15 or older; fee £30
• 16k: age 16 or older; fee £40
• Junior Race: age 4 or older; fee £15; chaperone place included

Entry includes a race pack with race number, timing chip and safety pins, a finisher medal, a finisher t shirt and post race hydration. Accessible parking is available at Whitefield car park. The café at Delamere Forest visitor centre will serve hot and cold drinks and light snacks. The main toilet block at the visitor centre is available to runners, spectators and volunteers.
