SilverBackTrails Wade’s Revenge

This is a trail running half marathon of approximately 13.1 miles held in the North York Moors National Park, with start and finish at Levisham Village Hall (Main Street, Levisham). The route passes through the Hole of Horcum and includes forest tracks, ancient pathways, sheep trods, open fields, wooded valleys and expansive moorland.

The event has a five hour time limit and is limited to 50 participants. There are two checkpoints on course providing snacks, water and soft drinks. At the finish there will be hot drinks, soup and a roll. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. No entries on the day. Entry fee is £23. Entries open 2 March 2026 and close 18 February 2027. Transfers are permitted up to one week before the event; no refunds are given.

Navigation will be aided by marshals, some flags, a route GPX sent to entrants and a master route map available at registration. Parking will be within the village adjacent to the village hall; a £1 charge per car will be collected at registration and shared between the village hall and the national park. Minimum age on race day is 16 years. Dogs are allowed if kept on a lead and will start after other participants.

Mandatory kit requirements include a waterproof jacket with taped seams unless Paramo; warm insulating layers; hat or buff or gloves; emergency bivvy bag; working compass; OS Explorer 27 or Harvey's North Yorkshire Moors map; charged mobile phone; at least 500 ml fluid and 120 g emergency food. A 10 leg relay along the Yorkshire Wolds Way from Filey to Hessle on 24 May 2026, limited to 25 teams from UKA affiliated clubs. Timing is provided, team entry and fee details apply and a donation will support National Trails.

A guided, socially paced 14 mile trail run around Thornton-le-Dale in the North York Moors, limited to small groups of six. The route crosses streams and hamlets and includes an optional post-run drink and local food.

An 8.5 mile fell race around Glaisdale Rigg with about 1850 ft of ascent, a steep green-lane descent off Snowdon Nab and a finish at the Arncliffe Arms. Limited to 100 runners and part of the Esk Valley Fell Summer series.

A 5k obstacle event at Stewart Park in Middlesbrough with mud obstacles on tarmac and grass paths passing the Captain Cook Birth Place Museum. Waves run every 15 minutes and participants must be 13 or older.
