SilverBackTrails Wade's Revenge
SilverBackTrails Wade's Revenge is a trail running half marathon of approximately 13.1 miles in the North York Moors National Park. The event starts and finishes at Levisham Village Hall and the route passes through forest tracks, ancient pathways and sheep trods, open fields, wooded valleys and expansive moorland. The course runs through the Hole of Horcum, a natural amphitheatre about 400 ft deep and three quarters of a mile wide, which features a local legend about the giant Wade.
The event has a five hour time limit and two checkpoints on course offering items such as flapjacks, crisps, sweets, water and soft drinks. Tea, coffee, soup and a roll are available at the finish. The course will be marked with marshals and some flags; entrants receive a route GPX and a master route map will be available at registration. Parking is within the village adjacent to the village hall and a one pound charge per car will be collected at registration to support the village hall and the national park.
Places are limited to 50 participants. Minimum age is 16 on the day. Entries open 2 March 2026 and close 18 February 2027. No entries on the day. No refunds are given but transfers can be made up to one week before the event.
