Trail Running calendar near Newtownbarry 2026-2027

Experience an endurance trail challenge in the scenic Avondale Forest Park. Choose between 50 km and 100 km solo distances or join a 100 km team relay on a supported 3.2 km forest loop.

A marked 6.5 km trail loop in Dysart Woods County Laois on 25 April 2026 with about 250 m ascent and technical descents. A separate junior out and back of about 3 km requires under 10s to be accompanied by a guardian.

A fully marked 21.5 km mountain loop in County Wicklow with about 750 m of ascent. The course goes over Trooperstown Hill and through Clara Vale, includes a water station near 16 km, and requires Level B mandatory kit.

Brockagh is an IMRA mountain running event in County Wicklow with a fully marked 9.90 km long course and a 4.80 km short/junior route. Mandatory Level B kit is required and entry is limited.

A team relay along the Wicklow Way covering 104 km from Kilmashogue to Shillelagh over eight stages. Teams of 2 to 8 runners compete; the event supports IMRA junior international teams and is sold out for 2026.
