Crotty's Lake is a mountain running event on Comeragh Mountain in County Waterford on Saturday 25 July 2026. The main course is 8.00 km with a climb of 410 m. A short course is available at 5.00 km. The event is graded 7 (3,2,2) - Difficult Terrain, 200 m to 500 m ascent, 6 km to 10 km. Race marking is limited to only major junctions. GPS devices are not allowed. Logistics and rules
The event takes place on private land with permission from the landowner. Registration opens at 09:45 and closes at 10:45. There is ample carparking with a fee of €2 per car. A prizegiving will be held at the finish area.
Level A basic kit is mandatory: a showerproof, windproof jacket must be worn or carried for the duration of the race; the final kit to be carried may be confirmed at registration and random kit checks may be carried out. A junior route of approximately 5 km will have a marshal at the turnaround; under-10s must be accompanied on the race route by a guardian. Headphones are not permitted.
