June 2026

A 5 Peaks trail running event at Canmore Nordic Centre with distances from 1 km kids races to a 22 km Grit race on singletrack and double track. Safety rules include mandatory bear spray for selected distances.

Experience Canada largest inflatable obstacle course in Calgary featuring a 5 km route with ten giant slides and bouncers. Enjoy a mud free day of physical challenges accompanied by a live DJ and energetic atmosphere.

Experience a classic Alberta trail race through the scenic Kananaskis singletrack. Choose between marathon and half marathon distances on a challenging course featuring significant elevation and full support.

The 5K Foam Fest in Cochrane is a 5 km course packed with over 25 obstacles, foam, and mud. The day features music, food vendors, and a free kids zone. Start times are staggered and every obstacle is optional.

The Canmore Revolver is a five hour AMLAP running event on a 6 km loop at the Canmore Nordic Centre on June 27, 2026. Solo runners or teams of two or three compete, with a finish line social featuring poutine and CR*FT drinks.

July 2026

Relentless24 is a 24 hour endurance run at the Canmore Nordic Centre that offers solo and team entries on single-track and double-track trails. The event includes a pacer policy and tiered registration fees.

Singletrack trail races at Bowmont Park with kids distances and two adult distances, valley and river views, rolling hills and some steep climbs. The event is cup free with aid stations and on site washrooms.

A two-day weekend event in Kananaskis offering a Half Marathon and a 10K with a 500-runner field and discounted rooms at the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge.

August 2026

Trail races around Moose Mountain near Calgary featuring single-track routes and multiple distances including 100K, 50 Mile and relay options. Registration closes August 1.

Trail races at West Bragg Creek offering four distances from 16KM to 50KM on forested single and double-track, with aid stations and course controls. Entry fee, age limit and transfer rules are specified.

Join the Calgary Trail Run Community for the YYC Sub Ultra at Nose Hill Park. Choose from several distances ranging from a 2 km kids run to a 34 km trail challenge in the heart of Alberta.

A 17 km one-lap trail race at Nose Hill Park with official chip timing, a midcourse aid station and race photos and swag included.

September 2026

Trail races at the Canmore Nordic Centre range from 1 km kids runs to a 19.3 km grit race on singletrack and doubletrack, with technical sections and significant elevation gain. Bear spray is required for most adult distances.

Late September trail races at Weaselhead Flats in southwest Calgary on hard pack and singletrack through a 237 hectare natural area. Options include kids distances plus 7.6 km and 14.0 km courses with maps and aid stations.

October 2026

Grizzly Ultra is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, organized by Grizzly Events with online registration via Zone4. Registration closes October 5 and the form requires mandatory fields and offers payment options.

December 2026

A 20-mile winter trail event at West Bragg Creek made up of three counter-clockwise loops that can be run in any order. There is an eight hour limit and mandatory cold-weather gear for participants.
